Camino Partners Ltd.

Project Description

Camino Partners required a relocation partner to support the move of staff, IT equipment and their furniture from their existing location in Farringdon, London to a new space, also in Farringdon. Camino Partners were re- suing the majority of their furniture in their new space. The move involved relocating 25 staff, desktop IT and servers, marketing materials, and all existing desks, task chairs, meeting tables and chairs along with some breakout space furniture. Renovo put together a proposal for the works along with options to support the disconnect and reconnect of the IT.  Our team attended a planning meeting to ensure that all preparations and planning was in place for the move and to offer advice to the client team. At this planning meeting we agreed on the final schedule, which included for Camino Partners staff leaving earlier on the Friday afternoon. Renovo altered our plan around this and carried out the disconnect of the IT earlier. The IT was disconnected and prepared on the Friday evening, with the main relocation taking place on the Saturday. This ensured that downtime to Camino Partner’s business was kept to an absolute minimum.

Services Provided

Renovo were appointed to carry out the relocation and in doing so, agreed a program for the relocation which included timely provision of packing crates and labels for Camino Partners staff to pack up ready for the move.

The Renovo team were briefed on the requirements of the move. All items needed to be safely handled and dismantled in order to move them, and then re- installed in the new building as per the new layout.

All the desktop IT equipment was disconnected by Renovo, carefully packed into purpose made crates, moved over and then delivered onto the destination desks. The Renovo team then re- connected the IT on the new desks.

Challenges Overcome

Due to Camino Partners moving all of their existing workstations, it was important for the IT disconnection, packing, moving, unpacking and final re- connection to be carefully programmed around the dismantling and reassembly of the desking.

As part of the re- connect of the IT onto the desks, our engineers spent time ensuring that each desk was cable managed to ensure that all the wires were tidy and safe under the desks.
