Buchan Architects are a worldwide company with offices across the world. They required a provider to relocate their 15 staff from an existing office in Hatton Gardens to new offices in Rosebery Avenue, London.
Renovo were appointed to carry out the relocation of staff, crates, IT and storage furniture. We also carried out the protection of the desktop IT and server units. Following the removals, Renovo supported the sustainable clearance of their redundant furniture from the Hatton Garden offices in time for the cleaning and handover to their Landlord
Buchan Logistics required minimum downtime to their operations, therefore the moves had to take place within normal working hours. All move works took place over 2 days. This meant that staff were able to start work in their new location straight away the following morning of their move. Remaining furniture and smaller items were recycled, with a large quantity of the existing desking being re- used. All large items were required to be carried up the stairs to the fourth floor.
Buchan Architects needed to hand over the space in the building very quickly after their move, so it was vital that all the furniture, WEEE and general rubbish was removed on time to allow for the cleaning.
The existing building was a positioned in a very busy area, so it was important that the move and clearance activities were carried out whilst being mindful of other businesses and the local community.
